I'm a stay at home mum, working full time for my family, and my passion is scrapbooking. I've been scrapbooking for 4 years. Photography and Scrapbooking are a real way of living for me, that I can't live without now.... It's a real need.

I live in the country just outside Ottawa, ON, Canada with my husband of 13 years and our four legged furry son, Braxxon. I've been scrapbooking for 6 years and I love it more every day! I've met so many wonderful people, online and in real life. It's like a circle of friends around the world. Scrapbooking, to me, is therapeutic, relaxing and a very rewarding hobby; the finished product is something to be treasured for years.

Hi! My name is Marti (aka scrapalot). I'm a SAHM to two great kids, and recently celebrated 13 wonderful years with my DH! They are usually front and center in most of my scrapbook pages. I've been scrapbooking for about 12 years. I got started by attending a CM party at a neighbor's house and got hooked right away. It's really become my only craft obsession (I used to have others). I don't know that I have a particular scrapping style, I like to let the picture and papers talk to me. Lately, I've been loving the border punches and have been snapping them up like crazy. My other hobbies include cross-stitch, reading, volunteering at our church and collecting Russian stamps. I'm really looking forward to working with this amazing group of women and this wonderful site. I only hope I can inspire you, because I know you already inspire me!!

I am blessed to be married to a wonderful man, and we have two beautiful daughters (ages 8 and 7). I am 30...something...and currently finishing up my last year of nursing school. Once finished, I hope to be a pediatric nurse in my local hospital. The scrapping bug bit me about 5-6 years ago. Through the years my style has evolved many times. Right now, my style is eclectic. At times, I love adding extra details, but other times more simplistic pages work for me. I scrapbook because it's a relief from daily stressors and I alo love creating memories for my girls. I am so happy to be a part of the YMBD team and I look forward to inspiring and being inspired by each one here.
